ZayoHub Foundation supports rural livelihoods programmes in Zambia.

Our trustees have direct experience living and working in Zambia and other Southern Africa countries. They share a commitment to working with local partners who help rural communities build sustainable livelihoods.

Eleanor Sykes

Eleanor was a teacher for 20 years, working in both UK schools and internationally. Since 2016 she has been working supporting teacher professional development in lower-income settings, which has resulted in extensive time spent in sub-Saharan Africa, and particularly Zambia. She is a governor of her local primary school with a strong commitment to her community - which is also shared by the Zayohub vision to connect and bring together last-mile communities in rural Zambia.

Rosie Rafferty

Rosie left her role as Vice President of Strategy and Planning for the External Affairs function at the multinational energy company, Shell, to pursue her passion of helping to tackle poverty through education and enterprise. She has worked all over the world including South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Senegal and was brought up in Malawi.

Rosie is a mentor to young businesswomen, a Trustee of the Nick Jenkins Foundations and sits on the Advisory Board of not for profit Malaika, which supports a school and community in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Charlotte Scott

Founder and CEO Charlotte Scott is a Zambian citizen with many years’ experience working in rural Zambia, particularly in remote  communities experiencing entrenched, widespread poverty and increasingly the impact of climate change too. This was the focus of her PhD, which she combines with practical experience and a deep knowledge of Zambian institutions.

Catherine Hinds

Catherine is a writer and business development consultant with significant expertise and experience in Zambia and Mozambique.
